Warriors Stay in Vancouver for Victoria Game

The Waterloo Warriors arranged a third game on the weekend against the Victoria Vikes, for their first meeting since 2003. With a strong third quarter, the Vikes won 94-86. The Warriors had a 45-40 lead at half time, but were outscored by 10 in the crucial third frame.

Nedim Hodzic led the way with 27 points and 7 rebounds. Simon Petrov added 16 points and rookie Justin Malernich provided 14.

For the Vikes, Mason Loewen led the way with 26 points.

Next action for Waterloo is hosting the Naismith Classic Oct 12-14.
